Chhatihar: After 6 days of birth of baby Maithli celebrated a mythological festival called Chhatihaar. In this day all of femily members make name of child. The child mother and child wear yellow color new dresses and take blashes for child from her family God ( called in Mithila "Bhagwati") .

Annaprashan:
After 6/8 month for male and 7/9 month for female child. On an auspicious day and time child take First Food in her life it is called Annaprashan.

Mundan:
After 1/3/5 year. Auspicious day and time (Chose a Day from Pandits called "Subh Muhrat" ). The hair of the child is cut with scissors and are collected in the anchar of an elderly lady who sits behind the child. This is disposed off in the evening in the roots of bamboo tree or in a river.

Upnayan: 
Upnayan is most important for Maithil Brahmin's. In Upnaya Doing some of  the following rites: Udyog, Mati-Mangal, Marab-Thathi, Charakh-katti, Kumram, Matrika Puja, Abhyudayik Shraddha, Churakaran, Upnayan, Vedarambh, Samabartan, Ratim. The celebration ends with Satyanarayan Pooja. It's a very long process.

Vivah:
Consists of following rites: Sidhdhant, Kumram, Laba-bhujai, Agya-pan, Matrika Pooja and Abhyudayik Shradhdha,Reception of Bariati, Pair-dhoai, Parichain, Kanyadaan, Bibah, Sindur daan, Chaturthi, Dwiraagman
